Educational Webinar: How Do Your Hospital Finances Measure Up? – May 2

Join Healthworks and KHA for an educational session at 2:00 p.m. on May 2 to learn how to utilize QHis financial benchmarking tool effectively. Shannan Flach, vice president health care finance and reimbursement and Sally Othmer, vice president data and strategic analytics will be joined by Wes Garrison, founder, Databasically to walk through the tool including the easy-upload process, reviewing the QHi financial measures available and to demonstrating how to run and schedule reports.

Opioid Educational Webinar: Partnering to Increase Access to SUD Treatment – May 3

Please join us on May 3 to hear how hospitals and communities are partnering to increase access to substance use disorder treatment and harm reduction. The program has been approved for 1.0 contact hours of continuing nursing education and pending approval for 1.0 contact hours of continuing pharmacy education. There is no charge to attend as this program is funded through a grant from our partners at DCCCA.

AHA Health Equity Conference - Driving Change Together -- May 7-9

Long-standing health care disparities and inequities persist. Systemic drivers such as structural racism and economic disadvantages have resulted in disproportionate health outcomes across different patient populations. Education, safe and affordable housing, transportation and nutritious food access all have a significant impact on the quality and quantity of an individuals life and overall health.

National Hospital Week - May 12-18

National Hospital Week is an opportunity to highlight our hospitals, health systems and health care workers and the innovative ways they are supporting and connected to their community.

KAHRMM Board Report

KAHRMM Logo for newsletters (February 2021) – The KAHRMM Board met via conference call on Jan. 20, with Mike Morgan calling the meeting to order.

Education for KAHRMM members is a top priority for the board, and much of the meeting was spent brainstorming ideas to bring offer education to our membership. Many challenges still remain due to the pandemic. The board continues to research and investigate all possibilities to continue education and networking for our membership. Discussion will continue with the possibilities of future in-person and virtual meetings. “Golf For Education” continues to be a topic as well. Members and vendors enjoy this time for networking, building relationships and seeing if anyone's game has improved.
