KHA established a foundation for it's members in 1969 and redesigned it in 1998 as a 501(c)3 organization. Healthworks, previously the Kansas Hospital Education and Research Foundation, is funded through contributions, grants and educational fees.

KHSC Board Meeting - May 27

KHSC is a wholly owned subsidiary of KHA. Therefore, a secondary objective of KHSC is to support KHA in meeting its mission to serve hospitals. Its mission is to provide enhanced value to KHA members through evaluation and endorsement of selected vendors of services needed by the KHA membership. KHSC will be a valuable resource to Kansas health care facilities and KHA as they serve their constituents.

KHA Board Retreat - May 28-May 30

The Kansas Hospital Association has a 21-member board of directors. They meet at least five times a year. Each board member holds three-year terms, with a two-term limit. The board has a composition of members from all geographic areas of Kansas all sizes and types of member hospitals are represented. The board also includes two hospital trustees and two physician members. Other participants include American Hospital Association delegate.

KHIMA Educational Program - June 2-3

KHIMA is a component state association of the American Health Information Management Association.

Pioneer Health Network Board Meeting - June 4

PHN is a consortium of 22 hospitals serving over 150,000 people in Western Kansas. Its central office is located on the campus of St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. The network's purpose is to provide a mechanism for its members to collaborate and pool resources. PHN partners with various organizations and agencies to leverage economies of scale and bring added value to its members.

KHA Workforce Survey

The KHA Workforce Survey gathers information on vacancy and turnover activity for 29 hospital and 4 clinic high turnover positions. Results from the January survey are released in March on the KHA website and in the Health Care Vacancies and Turnover in Kansas report.

Compensation and Benefits Surveys

The KHA Compensation and Benefits results are free to participating KHA member hospitals. The KHA survey is conducted through Gallagher Surveys. KHA participants enter data annually in January into the website. Results are available in April. Gallagher is a web-based compensation and benefits survey tool that allows hospitals to compare their data to other hospitals and certain non-health care related companies. In addition to over 400 healthcare related positions, the survey includes an executive, physician and mid-level salary and benefit information. A mid-year survey is released in July with results available in October.

Access to compensation and benefit survey results is limited to ONLY those that participate in the survey.
