Jeopardy, COVID and Life

Family (November 2020) – Hey all! As November gets well under way, we see many things happening. Hopefully, everyone is staying well and doing your best. As the events continue to unfold, like many of you, our hospital is seeing the surge progressing. We worry what it will bring; however, we have done a great job to prepare. Hopefully, we muster our resources to make the best of a bad situation. You may be aware of the KAHRMM Jeopardy game we have played several times at recent education conferences. A great deal of fun and prizes were had by all. Yours truly had the honor of playing Alex Trebek as the host. Sadly, Alex passed away recently and will be missed by many. Jeopardy is one of the few games we all can relate to … and we used that platform to educate and entertain our members. I want to say Thanks to all the supply chain folks working behind the scenes in this pandemic. Our organizations depend on us to deliver the goods needed. We have done great work; and with everyone's continued help, we will deliver the needed materials with greater success. Our work is truly in the back hallways and basements, but the rewards are on the floors and nursing units of those who need the supplies. Keep doing your best, and you are all in our collective prayers as we continue to navigate our way. In summation, Thanksgiving is one of the best holidays of the year! We have so much to be thankful for… in what seems to be a thankless year. Stay focused on the good, and as Grandma used to say ... "Bad never lasted forever….and good always followed." Have a blessed holiday season.
