(May 1, 2026) – This week, KDHE provided an update on the Sept. 30 end of Medicaid coverage for lawfully present immigrants, including refugees, asylees and work visa immigrants, as part of HR 1, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

(May 1, 2026) – The Ambulatory Specialty Model is a mandatory CMS payment model that begins Jan. 1, 2027. It is designed to hold outpatient specialists financially accountable for managing chronic conditions such as heart failure and low back pain.

CMS will use this data to set Medicare payment rates that will take effect in 2027.
