(September 2023) – It is with pleasure that KHA recognizes hospital trustees who provide an exemplary contribution through their leadership and governance. This year, the KHA Board of Directors selected David Polifka, Gove County Medical Center in Quinter, as the 2023 Trustee of the Year.

(September 2023) – The top two issues hospitals are facing, workforce and finance, are the focus of the Kansas Hospital Association Fall District Meetings. We encourage CEOs, CFOs, HR executives, trustees and senior staff to join us for these meetings.
September 2023 – Trustees are encouraged to make plans now to participate in KHA-PAC events this fall, including a Buffalo Herd Tour and Picnic; KHA-PAC Golf Tournament; and Pickleball for PAC.
(July 2023) – The Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement Conditions of Participation requires a hospital to "maintain and demonstrate evidence of its QAPI program for review by CMS, as well as the governing body oversight of the program in an effort to deliver safe, quality patient care and prevent adverse events and patient harm."
(July 2023) – The KHA Annual Convention and Trade Show will be Sept. 7-8, at the Hyatt Regency Wichita and Century II Convention Center in Wichita. The trustee registration fee is only $39.
