(February 2026) – Encourage those interested in health care careers to join Kansas hospitals from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 18 for the Kansas Virtual Health Care Career Day. The Kansas Hospital Association, the Kansas State Department of Education and the Kansas Board of Regents have partnered for the fourth consecutive year on this statewide event. We encourage hospital participation and urge schools in your area to participate as well.
The Kansas Virtual Health Care Career Day brings students into Kansas hospitals to learn about health care career opportunities in health care and engage them in real-world learning. Students of all ages and grade levels are invited to participate in this virtual event. Health care providers will share insights into eight career fields: radiology/imaging, pediatrics, laboratory, advanced practice providers, social services, dietary, EMT/paramedicine and orthopedics and sports medicine.
This event is hosted on Zoom. Connection instructions are sent after registration. Some schools choose to participate through health science classes, while others broadcast to an open cafeteria, auditorium or resource room for all students. Hospitals can also host students for the event.
February is Career and Technical Education Month, making this event an excellent opportunity for students to learn more about careers in a high-demand industry! All levels of education and members of the public are welcome to attend.
