(June 9, 2023) – Eligible substance use disorder treatment clinicians and community health workers can apply to the
Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program of the Health Resources and Services Administration. Applications are due at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 13. The STAR LRP aims to expand access to substance use disorder treatment by extending loan repayment opportunities to providers such as bachelor's-level SUD counselors, behavioral health paraprofessionals and clinical support staff. The STAR LRP provides up to $250,000 to eligible health professionals in exchange for a six-year, full-time service commitment at an approved site.
