Rural Maternal Health Symposium – Sept. 29

mom baby (Aug. 25, 2023) – The Kansas Center for Rural Health is hosting the Inaugural Rural Maternal Health Symposium from noon to 5:00 p.m. at the University of Kansas – Salina Campus, in Salina. The cost to attend the symposium is $75 in-person and virtually. The symposium objectives include:

  • Outlining pressing clinical and financial issues affecting obstetrical care in rural Kansas
  • Discovering approaches for effectively implementing clinical and mental health guidelines for obstetrics within rural hospitals and clinics
  • Formulating collective ideas for ongoing partnerships to promote statewide advocacy

The intended audience for the symposium is physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, medical residents, hospital administrators, researchers and anyone interested in rural OB care and changes in rural maternal health policy.
