AHA Health Equity Conference - Driving Change Together -- May 7-9

Long-standing health care disparities and inequities persist. Systemic drivers such as structural racism and economic disadvantages have resulted in disproportionate health outcomes across different patient populations. Education, safe and affordable housing, transportation and nutritious food access all have a significant impact on the quality and quantity of an individuals life and overall health.

National Hospital Week is an opportunity to highlight our hospitals, health systems and health care workers and the innovative ways they are supporting and connected to their community.

At Healthworks (formerly the Kansas Hospital Education & Research Foundation), we are health care delivery revolutionaries, using our time, energy and resources to spark action. We educate our partners, bring groups together, find funding and provide services that will change our health care delivery system for the better.

KHA Workers' Comp Fund Board Meeting - May 15

KHA Workers' Compensation Fund's primary objective is to provide moderately priced workers' compensation insurance to Kansas Hospital Association members. Customer service is enhanced by the Fund Administrator and Safety Program Manager.

Quality Corner Call - May 21

Quality Corner Calls are offered by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and Healthworks and focus on quality improvement activities consistent with the Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Grant Program.

Nominations Open for KHA Committees through Oct. 20

Nominations (Oct. 13, 2023) – The Kansas Hospital Association needs your insight and expertise to guide the work of the association, including shaping our strategic priorities, advocacy positions and essential resources for members. Please consider volunteering yourself and/or a member of your staff to serve on one of KHA's committees in 2024. Please complete the first two questions on the survey if you are unable to make a nomination.

The deadline for nominating is Friday, Oct. 20, 2023. Nominations must be approved by the CEO or administrator.
