Medicare Resources for 2023 – 2024 Flu Season

Infection Prevention (Sept. 15, 2023) – Medicare resources for the 2023 – 2024 flu season are available. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends annual flu shots for everyone six months and older each flu season. September and October are the best times for most people to get vaccinated. Medicare Part B covers the seasonal flu shot. Patients 65 and older should get a preferred vaccine if available. Preferred vaccines are potentially more effective than standard-dose flu vaccines. There are three recommended vaccines:
