Long-Term Care Antimicrobial Stewardship Webinar Series Targeting Common Infections and Disease Scenarios
KDHEKFMC Educational Event (June 9, 2023) – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment and KFMC Health Improvement Partners are offering an antimicrobial stewardship webinar series geared toward long-term care facilities and communal-living settings. The webinar series will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month, June through October. Faculty for the series is Dr. Kellie Wark, assistant professor of infectious disease at the University of Kansas Medical Center, a subject matter expert on antibiotic stewardship, health care-associated infections and antimicrobial resistance. Dr. Wark serves on the antibiotic stewardship program and is co-chair of the vaccine and ambulatory subcommittee task force groups at the medical center. Dr. Wark also is the antimicrobial stewardship lead at the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, HAI/AR Section.
