Opioid Educational Webinar: Partnering to Increase Access to SUD Treatment – May 3

Please join us on May 3 to hear how hospitals and communities are partnering to increase access to substance use disorder treatment and harm reduction. The program has been approved for 1.0 contact hours of continuing nursing education and pending approval for 1.0 contact hours of continuing pharmacy education. House Local Government Holds Hearing on Bill Allowing Counties Access to Fight Addiction Fund

Social Services (Jan. 30, 2023) – Today, the House Local Government, chaired by Representative Emil Bergquist (R-Park City), heard House Bill 2082. HB 2082 allows counties to create a code inspection and enforcement fund and expands the county equipment reserve fund to include electronic technology; allows counties to create a municipalities fight addiction fund for the expenditure of opioid settlement monies received pursuant to the Kansas Fights Addiction Act.
