First Bills From the House Heard in Senate Judiciary Committee

Kansas Senate Chamber (Feb. 9, 2023) – Today, the Senate Judiciary Committee, chaired by Senator Kellie Warren (R-Leawood), heard the first set of the bills that have made their way to the other chamber. Up for hearing today in Senate Judiciary were:

House Bill 2015 – Authorizes the designee of an employment agency or entity to petition the court for an order requiring infectious disease testing. HB 2015 previously passed the House on a vote of 116-6.

House Bill 2016 – Clarifies how property held under a transfer-on-death deed is distributed when one beneficiary predeceases the grantor. HB 2016 previously passed the House on a vote of 122-0.
