Agency Budgets Continue Making Their Way through Process

Budget Plan (Feb. 8, 2023) – Many agency budgets continue to make their way through the process. The Kansas Board of Pharmacy and Kansas State Board of Nursing were discussed by the House Appropriations Committee today.

The following agencies were also heard by the Senate Transparency and Ethics Committee today: Kansas Dental Board, Kansas Board of Optometry, Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board.

Senate Ways and Means recommended the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts budget as recommended by Governor Laura Kelly. The Ways and Means Subcommittee on Human Services will meet on Thursday, Feb. 9 and Friday, Feb. 10, to discuss the Kansas Department of Health and Environment Division of Health. Additionally, KDHE (Health) will receive a hearing continuation in the House Social Services Budget Committee on Feb. 9.
