(Dec. 13, 2023) – Since May, several interim committees have been meeting and formulating recommendations. The committees include elections, energy and utilities, foreign adversary investments and land purchases, campaign finance law, childcare, state legislative pay, taxation, restricted driving privileges, nursing facility reimbursement rate methodology, mental health, intellectual and developmental disability waiver, and homelessness.

Additionally, the state Healthcare Stabilization Fund Oversight Committee met on Nov. 30. Chaired by former State Representative Marvin Kleeb, the committee recommended no changes to the existing program. The Kansas Hospital Association submitted testimony in support of the Healthcare Stabilization Fund.
