(Feb. 20, 2023) – Senate Education Committee, chaired by Senator Molly Baumgardner (R-Louisburg), held a hearing on Senate Bill 98. The bill authorizes medical student loan assistance to encourage the practice of obstetrics and gynecology in medically underserved areas of the state.
The committee heard from proponents:

- Tiffany Masson, Psy.D, Kansas Health Science Center
- Kimberly Swan, MD, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists
- Robin Durrett, DO, Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine, requested an amendment to expand the language.
