(Dec. 24, 2025) – The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Healthcare Safety Network reminds hospitals participating in the Medicare Promoting Interoperability Program for the year 2025 of two upcoming deadlines for Antimicrobial Use and Antimicrobial Resistance reporting requirements.
Registration Deadline: Hospitals planning to attest to "Option 1 – Pre-production and validation" for calendar year 2025 must register their intent to submit AU and/or AR data within 60 days of the start of their designated EHR reporting period. The final registration deadline is Dec. 31, 2025.
Data Submission Deadline: Hospitals planning to attest to "Option 2 – Validated Data Production" for the AU and/or AR measure must submit all CY 2025 AU and/or AR data to NHSN by Jan. 31, 2026, to be included in the Feb. 1, 2026, status report.
