PBM Reform Bill Heard in House Insurance Committee

(March 12, 2026) – Yesterday, the House Insurance Committee held a hearing on Senate Bill 360. The bill enacts the Kansas Consumer Prescription Protection and Accountability Act and provides for the regulation and registration of pharmacy benefits managers.

The committee asked questions about the $10.50 dispensing fee and how it might impact people picking up medications, and whether PBMs reimburse their own pharmacies more than those they contract with.

If called by the chair, the committee will meet next week.
