Opioid Educational Webinar: Partnering to Increase Access to SUD Treatment – May 3

Please join us on May 3 to hear how hospitals and communities are partnering to increase access to substance use disorder treatment and harm reduction. The program has been approved for 1.0 contact hours of continuing nursing education and pending approval for 1.0 contact hours of continuing pharmacy education. There is no charge to attend as this program is funded through a grant from our partners at DCCCA.

Long-standing health care disparities and inequities persist. Systemic drivers such as structural racism and economic disadvantages have resulted in disproportionate health outcomes across different patient populations. Education, safe and affordable housing, transportation and nutritious food access all have a significant impact on the quality and quantity of an individuals life and overall health.

Sophie Jumani Joins the KHA Team

(May 19, 2023) – The Kansas Hospital Association is pleased to announce the hiring of Sophie Jumani as the new Data Analytics Intern. Sophie completed her Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology with a concentration in anatomy, physiology and human disease. She is currently a graduate student in the Master of Health Services Administration graduate program at the University of Kansas. Sophie brings a strong technical background as well as experience in marketing and direct patient assistance. We are excited to have Sophie join the KHA data team.
