Opioid Educational Webinar: Partnering to Increase Access to SUD Treatment – May 3

Please join us on May 3 to hear how hospitals and communities are partnering to increase access to substance use disorder treatment and harm reduction. The program has been approved for 1.0 contact hours of continuing nursing education and pending approval for 1.0 contact hours of continuing pharmacy education. There is no charge to attend as this program is funded through a grant from our partners at DCCCA.

AHA Health Equity Conference - Driving Change Together -- May 7-9

Long-standing health care disparities and inequities persist. Systemic drivers such as structural racism and economic disadvantages have resulted in disproportionate health outcomes across different patient populations. Education, safe and affordable housing, transportation and nutritious food access all have a significant impact on the quality and quantity of an individuals life and overall health.

KHA Board Nominations Requested

Nominations (May 19, 2023) – The KHA Board of Directors is looking for qualified nominees to fill vacancies on the 2024 KHA Board of Directors. In addition to the normal board positions, we are seeking a physician to join the board.

If you know of someone who would be a good addition to the KHA Board or if you would like to be considered for nomination, please contact Carrie Saia, KHA Board chair, at carrie.saia@rhrjc.org or Chad Austin at caustin@kha-net.org by Friday, June 30. Voting to fill the vacant board positions will take place during the KHA annual business meeting held in conjunction with the convention. Notification will be sent prior to the meeting.
