(Jan. 13, 2026) – Today, the Senate Tax Committee, chaired by Senator Caryn Tyson (R-Parker), began hearings on SCR 1616. SCR 1616 is a constitutional amendment to section 1 of article 11 of the Constitution of the State of Kansas, relating to property taxation and limiting assessed value increases for real property classified in any subclass and for personal property classified as mobile homes used for residential purposes.
