Senate Public Health and Welfare Meets to Hear and Work Bills

Public Health (Feb. 12, 2026) – Today, the Senate Public Health and Welfare Committee held a hearing on Senate Bill 431, which establishes the remote practice of pharmacy, requires certain conditions for such practice and limits activities performed under such practice.

The committee also recommended passage of Senate Bill 430, which permits licensed physical therapists to perform certain capillary blood tests. The bill saw a compromise amendment from proponents and opponents that clarifies the limits on Lactaid and Blood Glucose tests. The amended bill will now go to the full Senate.
