Health Care Preceptor Academy - Sept. 25

Location: Homewood Suites by Hilton Salina Downtown Address: 115 E Mulberry Street, Salina, KS 67401 Our Preceptor Academy team has formed a collaboration with the Midwest Clinical Instruction Regional Network to provide updated materials, content, and support for our Health Care Preceptor Academy. Preceptors assume the vital role of orienting new staff to their roles, as well as onboarding them to the department's and organization's culture.

Pioneer Health Network Board Meeting - Oct. 1

PHN is a consortium of 22 hospitals serving over 150,000 people in Western Kansas. Its central office is located on the campus of St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. The network's purpose is to provide a mechanism for its members to collaborate and pool resources. PHN partners with various organizations and agencies to leverage economies of scale and bring added value to its members.

KHA Noon Briefing: CMS Clarification on Non-Medicare Swing Beds for CAHs

Join the Kansas Hospital Association for a Noon Briefing with Shannan Flach, vice president of health care finance and reimbursement, and Cindy Samuelson, senior vice president of member and public relations. They will review a recent clarification from CMS and WPS regarding Non-Medicare Swing Beds and what it means for Critical Access Hospitals. CAHs that provide Intermediate Swing Bed services on a larger scale will be more significantly impacted by the CMS clarification.
