Medicare open enrollment is from Oct. 15 to Dec. 7. KHA has created multiple resources to assist members in educating the public about the differences in original Medicare and Medicare Advantage.

Provider Assessment Update
We have not received the approval for the 2025 preprint from CMS. However, the updated calculations for the 2025 Q1 payment are currently being reviewed by KHA and KDHE in preparation for CMS's approval and subsequent distribution of funds.

AAP Issues Policy Statement on Immunization Exemptions
This week, AAP published its 2025 evidence-based immunization schedule for children and adolescents ages 18 years and younger. They also reaffirmed its position that state laws requiring certification of immunization as a condition of children's attendance at child care and school are critical tools to keeping those environments safe.
