Physicians Mark your Calendars! Kansas Physician Leader Forum – Nov. 3

Leadership (Sept. 15, 2023) – Physicians, please plan to join your peers, across the state, for the Kansas Physician Leader forum from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Friday, Nov. 3, at the KAMMCO/Kansas Medical Society in Topeka. The Kansas Hospital Association and the Kansas Medical Society are continuing their popular, co-sponsored, meeting series focusing on physician leadership issues. The Physician Leader Forum is free of charge and brings physicians together to foster discussions regarding critical issues impacting health, and health care, in Kansas and our nation.

We are excited to host two national physician leaders at the forum: Dr. Chris DeRienzo, MD, chief physician officer at the American Hospital Association; and Dr. Jeffrey Gleason, MD, MBA, Guidehouse, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Nashville, TN. They will present the impacts of national trends reshaping the health care environment. There also will be panel presentations and discussions regarding the promise and challenge of technology to reduce the burden and improve value; current efforts to evolve peer review in Kansas to a learning system; and updates on current advocacy priorities.

We encourage all current or potential physician leaders in your clinic, hospital or other health care organizations to attend. Hospital CEOs and administrators, please forward this to the physician leaders in your facility. A detailed agenda and registration will be available next week.
