(March 24, 2023) – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has announced the creation of a new neonatal collection form. The next time your facility orders the neonatal collection form (newborn screening form) from the KDHE lab, you will receive the new card with six calibrated circles for blood. KDHE has instructed facilities to use the remainder of cards with five spots before switching to the new six-spot cards.
