Kansas Newborn Screening Virtual Office Hours and Upcoming Webinars

Newborn Screening (Aug. 4, 2023) – The Kansas Newborn Screening Program hosts office hours for facilities, collectors and midwives via Zoom every Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. Members of the Kansas NBS team are available to answer questions about the NBS program and/or if there are questions for a laboratory expert. Kansas Newborn Screening Basics and Process Review

This training includes a high-level review of newborn screening history and a detailed review of the Kansas Newborn Screening Program's structure and metabolic screening process. The classes are designed for physicians and screening collectors and provide a full explanation of what newborn screening is, why we do it and who is responsible for what throughout the process.
