Health Equity Services Covered in Medicare's 2024 Physician Fee Schedule Final Rule
(Mar. 8, 2024) – In the calendar year 2024 Physician Fee Schedule rule, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services finalized several new services addressing health equity, including:
- Caregiver training services
- Social determinants of health risk assessment
- Community health integration
- Principal illness navigation services
CMS released guidance on these services available to Medicare beneficiaries and codes for providers in a new Medicare Learning Network booklet.
