Health Care Readiness for the FIFA World Cup Webinar – Dec. 17
(Dec. 5, 2025) – Kansas City is proud to serve as a host city for the FIFA World Cup 26™. While hospitals and health care systems in the Kansas City area have been actively preparing for the upcoming year, a December webinar for all Missouri and Kansas hospitals will give hospitals across the Midwest a chance to learn how this event will impact the Kansas City region and beyond.
We encourage hospital teams to join us from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. CST on Dec. 17, 2025, for a KC2026 World Cup Webinar. Register for the Zoom Webinar today.
We are pleased that KC2026 has partnered with The University of Kansas Health System to serve as the Official Medical Services Provider for the Kansas City World Cup 2026 Host City. This partnership builds on existing planning efforts and will enhance regional coordination in several key areas.
During this webinar, Pam Kramer, CEO of KC2026, along with Host City Health and Medical Co-Leads Bryan Beaver, MD, and Erica Carney, MD, will discuss health care planning for the World Cup events coming to the Midwest. Our regional strength lies in our ability to collaborate, and your hospital's participation will help us collectively address the health and medical needs in our region during the FIFA World Cup 26™ in Kansas City.
The webinar will focus on our readiness for this global event and cover:
- KC2026 Overview of Current Planning, Timelines and Approach to Health Care Planning
- Dec. 5 Final Draw Matchup Results and Implications
- Roles and Responsibilities
- Key Planning Area Updates:
- Capacity Utilization and Infrastructure
- Hospital EMS Coordination
- Visitor Communication and Education about Health Care
- Health Care Planning Topics
This webinar will be recorded and made accessible for those who are unable to attend on Dec. 17.
