News (March 10, 2023) – CMS Reminds Hospitals of Q4 2022 HCAHPS Reporting Deadline
The submission deadline for the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems patient perspectives on care survey data for Q4 2022 discharges is Wednesday, April 5. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services strongly encourages all hospitals, whether they self-administer the HCAHPS survey or use a survey vendor, to submit data well before the deadline to allow time to address any submission issues.

The review and correction period is April 6-12, during which time participating hospitals and survey vendors can review the report, which will include a summary of the data accepted into the HCAHPS data warehouse for the quarter. Errors in data accepted into the warehouse by the April 5 deadline can be corrected; however, new data will not be accepted.
