Health Care Preceptor Academy - May 23

The health care preceptor academy is designed to engage and grow current and future preceptors with key education tools and strategies to foster a strong preceptororientee relationship. This interactive program provides information and practical tools to improve preceptor abilities.

KHSC Board Meeting - May 28

KHSC was founded in November 1984 for the purpose of providing needed products and services to Kansas Hospital Association member hospitals. KHSC's primary objective is to partner with organizations that can provide quality products and services to Kansas health care institutions at a reasonable price. KHSC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of KHA. Therefore, a secondary objective of KHSC is to support KHA in meeting its mission to serve hospitals.

KHA/KHSC Board Retreat

The Kansas Hospital Association has a 21-member board of directors. They meet at least five times a year. Each board member holds three-year terms, with a two-term limit. The board has a composition of members from all geographic areas of Kansas; all sizes and types of member hospitals are represented. The board also includes two hospital trustees and two physician members. Other participants include American Hospital Association delegate.

Educational Webinar: How Do Your Hospital Finances Measure Up? – May 2

QHINewsletters (April 26, 2024) – Join Healthworks and the Kansas Hospital Association for an educational session at 2:00 p.m. on May 2 to learn how to utilize QHi's financial benchmarking tool effectively. Shannan Flach, vice president of health care finance and reimbursement, and Sally Othmer, vice president of data and strategic analytics, will be joined by Wes Garrison, founder of Databasically, Inc., to walk through the tool, including the easy-upload process, review the QHi financial measures available and demonstrate how to run and schedule reports.

QHi, an enterprise-wide benchmarking program managed by Healthworks, is committed to improving the quality of care and financial viability of rural health care providers since 2003.

We encourage hospital CEOs, CFOs and other hospital financial leaders to participate in this webinar.
