(April 4, 2025) – The Kansas Hospital Association was excited to see so many hospital trustees at our recent Critical Issues Summit, but we understand that many board members could not attend these two days of education in Wichita. Our team has captured takeaway videos and board discussion guides from our speakers, allowing hospitals to bring this education into their boardrooms.
The new videos and discussion guides for boards are on the KHA website and our Kansas governWell site. Topics include Board and Governance Best Practices, Reframing Resilience, Best Practices for Hospital Boards, Meaningful Engagement and AI Health Care Applications.

In addition to educational videos, governWell has many resources for strategic planning. If you didn't know, KHA staff and governWell advisors also can join your board in person or virtually to help with strategic planning, including in-boardroom sessions on state or national trends and issues; facilitated review of the hospital's mission, vision and values and a strategy sounding board on any aspect of strategy and planning.
These types of resources and services are included in the Kansas governWell program. There are no additional fees. KHA staff and governWell advisors can provide consults, educational sessions and sounding boards. When working with a KHA member, governWell advisors will select the educational sessions, resources and templates that are the best match for what the CEO and board want to accomplish.
