Healthworks Board Meeting - May 14

At Healthworks (formerly the Kansas Hospital Education & Research Foundation), we are health care delivery revolutionaries, using our time, energy and resources to spark action. We educate our partners, bring groups together, find funding and provide services that will change our health care delivery system for the better.

KHA Workers' Comp Fund Board Meeting - May 15

KHA Workers' Compensation Fund's primary objective is to provide moderately priced workers' compensation insurance to Kansas Hospital Association members. Customer service is enhanced by the Fund Administrator and Safety Program Manager.

Quality Corner Call - May 21

Quality Corner Calls are offered by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and Healthworks and focus on quality improvement activities consistent with the Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Grant Program.

Health Care Preceptor Academy - May 23

The health care preceptor academy is designed to engage and grow current and future preceptors with key education tools and strategies to foster a strong preceptororientee relationship. This interactive program provides information and practical tools to improve preceptor abilities.

Kansas Regional Lactation Skills Fairs – Apr. 2 through Apr. 11

Breastfeeding Coalition (Jan. 26, 2024) – The Kansas Breastfeeding Coalition, in partnership with High 5 for Mom & Baby and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, is hosting four regional lactation skills fairs April 2-11 across Kansas. The skills fairs are open to all Kansas hospital staff at no cost. Continuing education for nurses will be provided. An application for continuing education recognition points has been submitted. Participation is limited to the first 40 registrants per session. Dates and locations:

April 2 – Topeka, St. Francis
April 9 – Wichita, Via Christi St. Joseph
April 10 – Hays, HaysMed
April 11 – Dodge City, St. Catherine at Dodge City

You can choose between a morning or afternoon session. The content is the same for both sessions.
