New CFO Orientation – June 8-9

KHANewLogoSquare (May 12, 2023) – The role of the chief financial officer of a hospital is critical to the planning, implementation and evaluation of the fiscal performance and long-term financial future of a hospital. CFOs that have been promoted from within the hospital or that come from outside the world of hospital finance have a significant challenge to quickly understand their responsibilities within hospital accounting as well as health insurance, financial systems and reporting requirements.

The Kansas Hospital Association is holding an orientation program on June 8-9, designed to provide CFOs with an overview of reimbursement systems like Medicare and Medicaid, a brief introduction to the major private payers, and an overview of hot topics in the world of hospital finance. In addition, KHA will provide an overview of the KHA website and the tools/resources available to help CFOs in their role.
