Antimicrobial Use and Resistance Reporting Requirements
(Mar. 1, 2024) – Beginning in 2024, reporting to the National Healthcare Safety Network Antimicrobial Use and Resistance Module is required under the Public Health and Clinical Data Exchange objective of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Promoting Interoperability Program. Eligible hospitals and Critical Access Hospitals are required to be in active engagement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to report both AU and AR data. To support NHSN facilities with this new requirement, the NHSN team will be hosting an Office Hours session on Thursday, March 7, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Please register here.
