Prior Authorization Reform Is Assigned a Bill Number

Prior Authorization (Feb. 2, 2023) – Today, the prior authorization bill, introduced by the Kansas Hospital Association, was assigned a bill number in both the House and the Senate.

House Bill 2283 and Senate Bill 148 – The legislation is designed to modernize the prior authorization process to help with industry burnout and provide better care for patients.
