Please join us on May 3 to hear how hospitals and communities are partnering to increase access to substance use disorder treatment and harm reduction. The program has been approved for 1.0 contact hours of continuing nursing education and pending approval for 1.0 contact hours of continuing pharmacy education. There is no charge to attend as this program is funded through a grant from our partners at DCCCA.

KHA Presents to House Health and Human Services Committee

(Jan. 10, 2023) – Today, the House Health and Human Services Committee heard an in-depth presentation and overview of the Kansas Hospital Association's membership and services. KHA staff shared background information on major items of priority we hope to work with the legislature on during the 2023 session. The committee heard from staff regarding some of the issues hospitals are facing such as workforce shortages and overall financial viability. KHA staff members presenting and answering questions included Chad Austin, president and CEO, Audrey Dunkel, vice president government relations, Tara Mays, vice president state legislative relations, Shannan Flach, vice president health care finance and reimbursement, and Jaron Caffrey, project manager workforce strategies.
