House of Representatives (March 19, 2026) – Senate Bill 327 – Legislative oversight; relates to the Robert G. (Bob) Bethell Joint Committee on Home and Community Based Services and KanCare Oversight; eliminates the requirement that the committee's January and April meetings be held during the regular legislative session

Senate Bill 334 – Nursing workforce development; provides education levels for instructors at nursing schools as a requirement for state approval

Senate Bill 340 – Education; relates to the Kansas Promise Scholarship Program; prohibits Kansas promise scholarship awards from being used to fund remedial hours offered as part of corequisite courses

Senate Bill 374 – Criminal procedure; relates to the competency of a defendant to stand trial; requires further consideration of the evaluation and treatment for defendants charged with the most serious offenses; requires certain items to be contained in a petition and written report of the evaluation in an involuntary commitment proceeding; sets requirements for involuntary commitment proceedings when the defendant has not been committed or has been released and the court has determined a probability does not exist that the defendant will regain competency in the foreseeable future; requires the court to make certain findings with respect to a person who is alleged to be mentally ill and subject to involuntary commitment for care and treatment when such person is also a criminal defendant

Senate Bill 375 – Consumer protection; relates to investments; enacts the Proxy Advisor Transparency Act; providrd legislative findings and definitions; requires proxy advisors to make certain disclosures when recommending an action against company management; authorizes the attorney general to investigate and take enforcement actions against violators

Senate Bill 448 – Health and health care; relates to the treatment of sexually transmitted diseases; permits the use of expedited partner therapy for the treatment thereof

Senate Concurrent Resolution 1603 – To amend Section 1 of Article 11 of the Constitution of the State of Kansas; relates to property taxation; valuing residential real property, commercial and industrial real property and mobile homes personal property based on the fair market value or average fair market value

House Bill 2005 – Income taxation; establishes the Veterans' Valor Property Tax Relief Act; provides an income tax credit or refund for eligible individuals; discontinues the sales tax exemption for purchases made by certain qualifying military veterans

Sub for House Bill 2081 – Taxation; provides a sales tax exemption for community pharmacies that provide services to medically underserved individuals and families

House Bill 2159 – Law enforcement; relates to emergency opioid antagonists; maintains immunity for law enforcement agencies and officers for damages resulting from administering an emergency opioid antagonist; removes law enforcement agencies and officers from the Kansas Board of pharmacy's statewide opioid antagonist protocol

House Bill 2163 – Income taxation; relates to credits; provides for the Preceptor Income Tax Incentive Act; establishes a credit for nursing home administrators, registered nurses and registered dietitians that serve as a community-based faculty preceptor in adult care homes and medical care facilities by providing personalized instruction, training and supervision for students

House Bill 2236 – Mental health; relates to the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services and mental health intervention team providers; establishes the Mental Health Intervention Team Program in state statute; provides incentives for coordination between school districts, qualified schools and mental health intervention team providers

House Bill 2533 – Enacts the Occupational Therapy Licensure Compact to provide interstate practice privileges to occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants
