(Feb. 13, 2024) - Today, the House Appropriations Committee, chaired by Representative Troy Waymaster (R-Bunker Hill) worked Senate Bill 307, adding for-profit entities to the definition of “qualified applicant” in the Kansas fights addiction act. The committee amended the legislation to allow for the oversight committee to be reimbursed for meeting expenses similar to other boards and commissions. The committee recommended the bill favorably as amended. It will now go to the House floor.
