KDHE Receives Authorization by HHS to Use Tamiflu from State Stockpile

This week, KDHE announced the agency has been authorized by HHS to use the state's Tamiflu (oseltamivir) stockpile in the event of localized shortages of influenza antiviral medication this flu season.

U.S. on the Verge of Losing Measles Elimination Status

The U.S. eliminated measles in 2000 because of high immunization rates. However, with more than 2,200 measles cases in the U.S. during 2025, including 91 cases in Kansas, the U.S. is at risk of losing its measles elimination status.
