Cyclosporiasis Outbreak in Multiple States, Including Kansas

In Kansas, KDHE reported 55 total cases of cyclosporiasis so far this year. Cyclosporiasis is caused by the ingestion of contaminated food or water and has an incubation period ranging from two to 14 days.

SAMHSA Emergency Department Alternatives to Opioids Funding Opportunity

The purpose of the program is to establish and implement practices to help EDs develop alternatives to pharmacological opioid interventions and reduce the potentially harmful consequences of opioid use in pain care across hospitals and EDs.
