What You Need to Know: Week 4 of the FIFA World Cup 26™ Kansas City

FIFA KC (July 10, 2026) – Despite KC2026 reporting more than 275,000 fans at Kansas City Stadium and 201,000 attendees at FIFA Fan Festival™ Kansas City throughout the four group stage matches, health care delivery has continued without significant impact across the region.
As the city prepares for its second and last knockout match this Saturday, July 11, local providers remain ready to meet the region’s needs. Here are this week’s health care updates:

  • At the stadium, medical teams have treated a range of fan health concerns, with trips and falls and headaches among the most common issues. Thanks to extensive on-site preparation and advanced treatment capabilities, including cooling measures for heat-related cases, most patients have been cared for at the stadium, significantly reducing the need for hospital transport.
  • With respiratory and gastrointestinal illnesses remaining at low levels in the area, there are currently no concerns around infectious disease. Health experts continue to monitor seasonal mosquito- and tick-borne diseases, including West Nile virus, but local activity also remains low.
  • Warm temperatures are expected during this weekend’s final match at Kansas City Stadium, making heat exhaustion a continued concern for providers.
