(May 8, 2026) – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment Division of Public Health released
Utilizing KDHE Travel & Health Dashboards, Weekly Infectious Disease Report and Other Resources via the Kansas Health Alert Network on May 1. In the KS-HAN, they highlighted tools available on the
Travel & Health page of the KDHE website. To check for real-time infectious disease events in the U.S. or around the world, go to the
Global Infectious Disease Events Dashboard. A weekly
Domestic and International Infectious Disease Report that provides similar information can be found behind the Educational Resources tab at
Travel & Health. KDHE also developed an
Emergency Department & Wastewater Snapshot Dashboard behind the tab by the same name, also on the Travel & Health page. According to the KS-HAN, this dashboard "supports situational awareness of emergency department trends for infectious diseases, overdoses and injuries across Kansas." These toolswere developed in part in response to the upcoming FIFA World Cup™ but can be used in everyday practice now and long after the tournament.
