FIFA KC (May 15, 2026) – As we finalize preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ coming to the Kansas City area, the Kansas Department of Health & Environment's Division of Public Health continues to develop tools and resources to assist all hospitals, clinics and public health entities in our travel screening efforts. Go to Travel & Health | KDHE, KS and click on Educational Resources to find a list of information. One example is the Summary of High-Consequence Pathogens document, which breaks down signs and symptoms, diseases, locations of circulation, testing laboratories, transmission-based precautions and a few other items of information. Another tool is the High Consequence Pathogens Flyer, which lists common signs and symptoms, recommended screening procedures and QR codes to other resources.

These tools are valuable for every facility to use throughout the tournament and will assist us in our screening efforts long after the tournament is complete.
