(Aug. 14, 2026) – Kansas now ranks 13th in the nation for breastfeeding initiation, according to the
State of Breastfeeding in Kansas 2026 Report. This marks a significant improvement from last year's 26th-place ranking. Kansas exceeds the national averages for breastfeeding initiation, exclusive breastfeeding at three and six months, and any breastfeeding.
