(May 8, 2026) – The Kansas Hospital Association is pleased to announce the updated Preceptor Academy for Summer 2026 is available to attendees at no cost, thanks to funding from the Health Resources and Services Administration. Our Preceptor Academy team has partnered with the Midwest Clinical Instruction Regional Network to provide updated materials, content and support for academy participants.
Preceptors play a vital role in orienting new staff to their roles and in onboarding them to the culture of the department and organization. The Health Care Preceptor Academy is designed to engage and develop current and future preceptors by providing key educational tools and strategies to foster a strong preceptor/orientee relationship. This interactive program offers information and practical tools to strengthen preceptor skills. As a preceptor, you can make a difference in how a new employee adjusts to your hospital.
