Registration Open for KHA's Rural Health Symposium – Nov. 20

RuralHealthDay (Oct. 3, 2025) – Rural health care providers are constantly faced with new challenges and fewer resources. The purpose of this symposium is to provide attendees with information, skills and ideas necessary to survive in the rapidly changing world of rural health care. Held in conjunction with National Rural Health Day, the symposium will provide practical strategies and timely updates for sustaining health care in rural communities.

Sessions include:

  • Partnering for Community Health: Lessons from Coffey County – highlighting collaboration with local leaders.
  • KHA Productivity Study – presenting statewide benchmarks to improve efficiency.
  • Federal Policy and Advocacy Update – insights from Brock Slabach, COO, National Rural Health Association.
  • Emergency Preparedness in Action – lessons learned from the March 2025 I-70 dust storm and mass casualty response.
  • Keeping Your Best – strategies to retain top staff with Craig Deao, Huron.

The symposium also includes networking roundtables and a luncheon sponsored by the Kansas Rural Health Association.

Location and Hotel Accommodations:
The symposium will be at the Hilton Garden Inn Hays, located at 221 W. 43rd St., Hays, KS 67601. A block of rooms has been reserved for the night of Nov. 19 at the rate of $147, plus tax. The room block is available until Monday, Oct. 20. After that, reservations will be accepted on a space-available basis.
