(May 8, 2026) – The quarterly Healthcare Coalition Steering Committee meeting was on May 6. The Kansas Department of Health and Environment Preparedness Program provided updates on the Hospital Preparedness Program. You may recall that the KDHE contract with the Healthcare Coalition Partners of Kansas, LLC, to administer the program in Kansas, was terminated on April 8. Since then, members have asked how the coalitions will function without Healthcare Coalition Partners of Kansas' leadership. At this point,
KDHE Preparedness will provide guidance and assistance to each HCC executive committee and coalition, in meeting deliverables for the program. Hospitals with questions are encouraged to reach out to the HCC executive committee in your coalition or send questions to
KDHE.preparedness@ks.gov.
