Planning Continues as Base Camps Set

FIFA KC (Feb. 27, 2026) – Planning continues as we approach 100 days from the start of the FIFA World Cup 26™. The wait is over to learn which teams have selected the Kansas City area as their base camp. FIFA has officially announced at FIFA World Cup 26™ Kansas City, four teams have chosen to call the KC region home during the tournament.

  • Argentina will be based at Sporting KC's Compass Minerals National Performance Center in Kansas City, KS.
  • England will be based at Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, MO.
  • The Netherlands will be based at KC Current's University of Kansas Health System Training Center in Riverside, MO.
  • Algeria will be based at the University of Kansas Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence, KS.

Teams and fans will begin arriving in late May and early June, in preparation for matches starting June 16, 2026. Anticipating their arrival, the Kansas City FIFA Fan Festival™ at the World War I Memorial will open on June 11 and will feature a calendar of events through at least July 11, 2026.

To assist with moving the additional visitors around the KC Metro region, ConnectKC26 will provide transportation services.

The staff teams at the Kansas Hospital Association, the Missouri Hospital Association and the Kansas City Metropolitan Healthcare Council continue collaborating with KC2026, The University of Kansas Health System and many other partners on planning for the FIFA World Cup 26™ and will continue keeping our members informed.
