(June 19, 2026) – Recognizing that the FIFA World Cup 26™ could disrupt typical transfer patterns between hospitals, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment Preparedness Program has developed a view in EMResource™ that mirrors one shared by our Missouri Hospital Association and Juvare partners. The Patient Transfer Coordination view provides the Transfer Center Contact name, phone number, email address and a comment section for each hospital. The goal is to make it easier to find that information when patient transfers are needed.
Kansas EMResource™ users can access the facility's Patient Transfer Contact Information in two places within the system.
- In the facility detail view, "Patient Transfer Coordination" is the first section.
- From the home screen, users can open the view dropdown and select the "Patient Transfer Coordination" view.
KDHE Preparedness and KHA encourage every hospital in EMResource™ to update the fields in the Patient Transfer Coordination view. It is imperative that transfer contact information be easy to find, whether the need is for a higher level of care or for transfer back to post-acute care services.
